Ageless Grace is a fitness and wellness programme designed for all ages and abilities. These exercises, based on everyday movements that are natural and organic, focus on the healthy longevity of the body and mind. These classes accommodate most physical conditions and include the option of performing the activities seated in a chair. The routines are repetitive and easy to follow. The class is done to music. Sometimes this class feels like dancing in a chair! We offer a special rate of R50 to those who are 65 and older for this class.
BALLET BEAT
Teacher – Kim Day
Ballet Beat classes are general fitness classes for all ages and abilities. Ballet is used as the dance foundation, but no former training is required. These classes incorporate cardio, stretch and toning while experiencing the joy of dancing. Barre work and centre practice exercises are incorporated into this class, as well as some choreography. These classes are the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of ballet while having a lot of fun.
BALLET RIP

This is a workout that delivers optimal fitness in a safe and fun format primarily through the lens of Classical Ballet. This is a conditioning programme and there is no barre work. The emphasis is not on technical skill but rather on developing strength and general toning.
BOOT CAMP

Boot camp or fitness boot camp is a group physical training programme. These programmes are designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of types of exercise. The exercises provide a whole-body workout, and some exercises may include the use of equipment. The entire workout is under the direction of the instructor who will guide and motivate you through the exercises.
DANCEFIT
Teacher – Joanne Holmwood
DanceFit is an aerobic workout done to music. The steps are simple and easy to follow, and this class is suitable for all ages. No previous dance experience is required. This is a whole-body workout that will get your heart pumping and your toes tapping. Some gentle low-impact activities are included in these routines.
FUNDAMENTAL FITNESS
Teacher – Daniel Pedersen
A general, whole-body workout. These exercises work through all the planes of the body and aim to integrate the functions of the muscle groups.
HIITT
Teacher – Ricardo De Bruyn
High Intensity Interval Training is a training protocol alternating short periods of intense or explosive anaerobic exercise with brief recovery periods until the point of exhaustion. You'll work up a sweat fast, working at a very intense level and then backing off for a slower recovery period, followed by another round of high intensity.
LINE DANCING (Once a month)

This is a fun dance class with easy-to-follow routines. The moves are cardio in nature but provide a non-impact workout. Themed to Western-style music.
MINDFUL MOVEMENT
Teacher – Theresa Hendrikse
This class is a slow, gentle meditative session. All movements are executed with deliberation and full attention. It is a mat-based class that combines gentle stretches, relaxation exercises, breathwork and conscious movement. De-stress and ground yourself with this class.
PILATES
Teacher – Claudia Miceli
Pilates classes are centred around the freedom of movement. The approach is about taking what you learn in the class and then integrating it into your life and lifestyle. These classes teach you to use your core to reduce strain and to improve posture and balance. Slow moving strengthening for the entire body with a strong focus on incorporating the breath. The Pilates classes incorporate the use equipment.
PILATES PUSH
Teacher – Les-Lee Robinson
These classes offer traditional mat exercises that tone and strengthen. Core work is the focus of these classes. Pilates trains and strengthens stabilising muscle groups. This workout will include a section where you can push your workout to the next level. The push section is optional, and you will be accommodated if you want to stay on your level.
STEP
Teacher – Les-Lee Robinson
Step aerobics has all the benefits of a high-intensity cardio workout without putting stress on your joints. It improves overall fitness by building strength, reducing fat, and boosting your cardiovascular health. It also burns calories, making it an ideal way to maintain your target body weight.
STRETCH

This is a no impact session. A general stretch class that starts with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down. Improve your flexibility and range of movement.
YOGA – IYENGAR

Iyengar Yoga is a classical form of yoga. The careful sequencing of poses facilitates alignment, precision, and accessibility. Props are occasionally used to give support where needed and to facilitate optimal access to poses. Regular practise increases flexibility, strength and promotes good health & well-being. Iyengar Yoga was founded by BKS Iyengar who is considered one of the foremost yoga gurus in the world.
YOGA – NIDRA

Yoga Nidra trains the body and mind for the benefits of a meditative state without effort. It keeps the mind focused on different parts of the body. This soothes the nervous system and allows the body to relax and release tension. This practice activates delta brainwaves that allow the mind and body to rest while being awake.
YOGA – VINYASA

Vinyasa Yoga comprises a series of physical poses, or asanas, that seamlessly flow into one another. The Vinyasa practice makes use of pranayama, the breath, to guide your movement. This practice increases strength, flexibility, balance, focus and overall health. A class will include breath work, intention setting, a variety of physical poses (including sun salutations), and savasana (a deep restorative relaxation). Jo's classes aim to stretch and strengthen the body, and encourage a sense of calmness, balance and clarity.
YOGA SUNRISE EXPRESS - VINYASA

This early morning practice is just 45-minutes long. It is a condensed Vinyasa class to get you up and going.
ZUMBA

Zumba is a fun way to get fit. It is a fitness program that combines Latin, international, and pop music with easy-to-follow dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness. No dance experience is required, just bring yourself and move to your own rhythm.
